20-year-old Genk winger Kevin De Bruyne set to undergo medical at Chelsea

Young Belgian talent Kevin De Bruyne set to undergo a medical at Chelsea following his £6.7 million move from Belgian champions Genk as reported by source here.

The highly rated youngster was a huge part of Genk’s title success last season and as a result earns himself interest from top clubs in Europe. Chelsea arose as one of the main target for the youngster’s signature with interest date back from the last summer transfer window but little action was taken then.

Now the Stanford Bridge outfit seems ready to acquire De Bruyne and add yet another young player to manager Andre Villas-Boas rebuilding process. After the finalization of the move De Bruyne will then be loaned back to Genk to finish his season before linking-up with his new teammates next season. This will make it the second signing for Chelsea in the January transfer window following Tim Cahill move from Bolton Wanderers.
