Jan Vertonghen: Defending by Any means Necessary

Defending by any means necessary is how most defenders approach preventing a goal for their team and thats exactly what Jan Vertonghen of Tottenham Hotspur did.

The Belgian was trying to stop Niklas Helenius of Aston Villa from taking a shot at goal and in the process pulled the player shorts down.

You’d expect this sort of act to be a bookable offence but surprisingly it went unpunished.
